What is Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation? How Does It Work?
Anxiety, depression, sadness, and stress impact your physical health. Chemical reactions in your body are triggered by these emotions and may lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Pain, insomnia, anxiety, and depression are all controlled by your body’s central nervous system. It communicates every sensation by conducting electrochemical signals between the billions of cells in your body and brain.
At Delta Discovery Center, we have chosen the Alpha-Stim as our Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) device because of its unique patented waveform. The Alpha-Stim uses low-level (less than 1-half milliampere) electrical current to safely and effectively treat insomnia, anxiety, depression, and pain.
Alpha-Stim History and Facts:
Initially cleared by the FDA in 1992 as a prescriptive, noninvasive treatment, CES has an extensive safety record, with few side effects (less than 1%) and considerable scientific evidence of the significant results patients can achieve.
Dr. Daniel L. Kirsch, world-renowned neurobiologist and inventor of Alpha-Stim, has spent over 40 years fine-tuning his technology and the procedures to administer it to help people live healthier happier lives. For over 3 decades, Alpha-Stim has assisted millions of people to control their depression, anxiety, insomnia, and pain.
What are the Benefits of a Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation Session?
With the Alpha-Stim, you’ll get lasting relief from acute, chronic, and post-traumatic pain, while also treating other conditions often associated with pain (such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia). Nine out of ten people experience remarkable relief from symptoms of … PTSD, headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia, bipolar disorders, ADHD and several other conditions.
Alpha-Stim has NO RISK of addiction, unlike most prescription pharmaceuticals. To get the most benefit from your session, listen to your body and rest. Our bodies didn’t develop illness overnight, so it will take time for your body to relearn what optimal health is supposed to feel like.
So, plan on coming back into the center for a few sessions we will determine the best protocol for you so that you can take an Alpha-Stim device home (CES Do-It-Yourself ~DIY) on loan for a month or so to continue treatment until you no longer need it.
What Can I Expect from an Alpha-Stim Session?
The Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation device has clips that will attach to your earlobes and a convenient lanyard for you to wear around your neck while it gently delivers a small, pulsed, alternating current. You will relax comfortably in our state-of-the-art massage chairs or lie on a massage table with an infrared biomat embedded with amethyst crystals.
The Alpha-Stim will generate a waveform that has been compared to the relaxed state that people desire to achieve during meditation. The waveform generated from the Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation device returns cells within your body’s central nervous system back to their baseline, significantly reducing symptoms associated with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Sessions are typically 20, 40, or 60 minutes long, depending on your sensitivity.
Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation sessions may be used alongside your medication and/or psychotherapy. After treatment, there are usually no physical limitations hindrances, so most people can resume normal activities immediately. Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation
